Martin Luther King was a minister, a Nobel Prize winner and a civil rights activist who inspired millions of people to reconsider the way that the United States treated its citizens. He is a man whose legacy is still alive and still inspiring people, four decades after his untimely death. Many laws guaranteeing equal rights to all Americans were created or changed as a result of his foresight, passion and vision. Today every time Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is celebrated we remember his dream that all American's can live together in peace and equality regardless of race, color or creed.
